Managing aggression
Community services workplaces have a high potential for violent incidents because they are often working with higher risk client groups and much of the work is carried out in less predictable environments, such as home and community settings. Violence and aggression includes verbal and emotional abuse or threats and physical attack to an individual, group, or property. Under no circumstances should exposure to aggression in the workplace be accepted as a normal part of the job.
