It is important that you follow organisational procedures, legal requirements and duty of care obligations in responding to indicators of risk of abuse, neglect or harm, including abuse or harm of children and young people.

Let us begin by defining the meaning of ‘duty of care’. Then you will look at other legal and procedural requirements you need to be very aware of and follow when you respond to clients and others considered at risk.
